Frontier Meadow privacy notice

Last updated: 2026-11-02

Effective date: 2026-11-03.

The short version (for kids)

Our promise

Apart from the technical data that our hosting service must handle to deliver this site (see "What our hosting service processes"), we never intentionally collect personal information from anyone under 18. We collect as little as we can from adults, only what we need to run the game and the optional support link. There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no selling of data.

Your meadow stays on your device

Frontier Meadow saves your meadow in your browser on your own device. You never need an account, a sign-in or an email address to play. Cloud save is switched off: your meadow is not sent to us or stored on our servers. A save code (Settings → Copy save code) is made on your device and goes only where you put it.

What our hosting service processes

No website can work without some technical data. The game is hosted by Cloudflare. When your browser loads the game or talks to the Support Center, Cloudflare's servers necessarily receive your IP address and technical request details (such as the page asked for, the time, and your browser type) in order to deliver the page and protect the site from attacks. Cloudflare processes this as our hosting provider under its own privacy policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy).

We have not switched on Cloudflare Web Analytics, log export (Logpush) or stored function logs, and our own code does not store IP addresses. Our pages set no cookies and load nothing from other websites: no fonts, scripts or trackers from anyone else. We do not track anyone across websites. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals from your browser, although there is no tracking here for them to switch off.

As our hosting provider, Cloudflare handles this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement that requires it to keep the data secure and confidential. Cloudflare's own privacy policy says how long it keeps it.

We do not allow advertising, analytics or other companies to collect information about your activities over time and across different websites through this site.

Visit counts

Switched off. This site does not count your visits.

Support Center: quick reports (for everyone)

A quick report has no typing: you choose answers from lists (what happened, where in the game, and the kind of device: phone, tablet or computer). If you tick a box, the game version is added too. The Support Center has no message box, no file upload and no account, and it never asks for a name, email address or other contact details.

Our server stores only those choices, the game version if you ticked the box, the day the report was sent (not the time) and whether we have looked at it, under a random reference number. It does not store your IP address, name or email address. Nothing is saved on your device. Reports are anonymous: we can't link a report to a person, so we can't reply to it. Reports are never public; only the Project Frontier team can read them.

To stop reports being sent in bulk, the server turns your connection's address into a scrambled stand-in that can't be turned back into it, and counts requests against it for at most one hour; the address itself is never stored. The stand-in is not linked to your report and changes every hour.

A report is deleted 60 days after the day it was sent, whatever its status. This removal happens while the Support Center is in use. Deleting removes it from the live database right away; the hosting provider's short-term database recovery history may keep it for a limited time before it is gone for good.

Information about children (for parents)

Under the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), an IP address counts as personal information. The only personal information collected from children through this site is the IP address, and the technical request details that come with it, which Cloudflare receives for us when a device loads the game or sends a quick report. We do not ask children for any other personal information. Children cannot make any information public here.

What we use it for. We use IP addresses only for these internal operations: sending the game and the Support Center to the device that asked for them, keeping the site and the Support Center secure (including stopping floods of reports), and keeping the site working. We never use them to contact anyone, for advertising, or to build a profile of anyone, and we never sell or share them for those purposes. We do not disclose them to anyone except Cloudflare, which handles them as our hosting provider.

How we make sure of that. Our own code never stores IP addresses. Flood protection uses a scrambled stand-in that changes every hour, is deleted within an hour and is never linked to a report. We have not switched on Cloudflare's Web Analytics, log export or stored logs. The site has no accounts, cookies, ads or third-party scripts. Only the studio's owner can access the hosting account.

Reviewing or deleting a child's information. We keep nothing that identifies a child: quick reports are not linked to a person, device or IP address, so we cannot find or show one person's information. If you have a question, contact us using the details under "Who we are and how to contact us".

How long we keep information

InformationWhy we have itHow long
Your meadow (game save)To let you playOn your device only, until you reset it or clear site data
IP address and request detailsTo deliver the site and protect it from attacksOur code does not store them. Cloudflare keeps them under its privacy policy and our agreement with it
Flood-protection stand-inTo stop reports being sent in bulkAt most one hour
Quick reportTo find and fix problems and collect ideasDeleted 60 days after the day it was sent
Hosting recovery copies of the report databaseTo recover from accidentsFor a limited time after deletion (up to 30 days, depending on the hosting plan)
Support payment records (PayPal)PayPal's records, refunds and tax lawAs long as PayPal's records, refunds and tax law require
Messages sent to our contact addressTo answer youOnly as long as needed to answer you, unless the law requires longer

Support development (optional, grown-ups only)

The optional "Support development" link is switched on: any payment happens on PayPal's own site, which collects your payment details under PayPal's own privacy statement; the game sends nothing about the player.

When someone supports the game, PayPal shows the studio's PayPal account the payment and the details PayPal shares with whoever receives a payment, such as the payer's name and email address. We use them only for PayPal's records, refunds and the law (for example tax records). We never put them into the game, never link them to a player and never use them for marketing. Supporting gives nothing in return in the game.

PayPal and we each handle this information separately, under our own privacy rules. If a payment was a mistake, contact us using the details below and we will help you get a refund (see the support page).

Test site

A separate preview site we use to test new versions keeps its Support Center reports in its own test database, apart from the real game's. It may show a practice shop that uses pretend money only. No real payment is ever taken there, and nothing about practice purchases leaves your device.

Children

We assume any player may be a child, so the game works without anyone telling us anything. Children can use the quick report. It contains only choices from lists and is never linked to a person, device or IP address.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we will update the dates at the top of this page. If we change what we collect from children, we will post the new notice here before the change takes effect.

Who we are and how to contact us

Frontier Meadow is made and run by Kyle Marolf, trading as Project Frontier Studio, who is responsible for this site and for the information described here.

Parents can use these details to ask any question about children's information.

For help with the game, use the Frontier Meadow Support Center: questions and answers, and an anonymous quick report chosen from lists. You don't need an email address.
